Get Rid of Carpet Smell

When I used to live with my parents they had 3 dogs in a flat, and we had carpets. I tried to find the best solution to remove the bad carpet small for a long time, until a neighbor told me to use vinegar and water.


I used to put a cup of vinegar in a bowl of water and then with a brush I washed the carpet. Another tip that I hear is very good but haven't tried is to spray the carpet with lavender oil.


Apparently the lavender is very good for bad smalls. But probably the best way is to clean your carpet at least once a week, and try to leave to windows open every morning for at least 10 minutes. Also I give it a good professional clean every 6 months.


It is a lot harder if you have a dog or small children who might spill milk or food on the carpet. The best thing to do in this case is to clean the carpet immediately after the accident. Don't leave it for a long time, otherwise the smell will be very bad. Or maybe the best idea is not to have carpet in the rooms where you spend most of the days.


There are on the market decorative flooring like quartz screed and polished concrete, which are waterproof and therefore very easy to keep clean. Nowadays you can wash the floors everywhere not only in the bathrooms or in the kitchen.
